Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Hearth to:

• Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
• Harass, threaten, bully, or incite violence against anyone; or post hateful content targeting people for who they are.
• Post, request, or share sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualizes children — ever. This has zero tolerance and will be reported to authorities.
• Share content you don’t have the right to share, or that infringes someone’s copyright, trademark, or privacy.
• Impersonate someone else, or misrepresent who is hosting or inviting.
• Send spam, chain messages, or bulk unsolicited invitations to people who don’t want them.
• Upload malware, or try to break, overload, probe, or circumvent Hearth’s security or rate limits.
• Scrape, harvest, or resell data from Hearth, or use it to build a competing dataset.
• Use Hearth to deceptively collect personal information, or to run scams or phishing.
• Post content that’s obscene, gratuitously violent, or otherwise clearly not in the spirit of a gathering.

Hosts are responsible for their events and for the people they invite. Everyone is responsible for what they post in chat, photo albums, and shared lists. Hearth doesn’t pre-screen content, but we can remove anything that breaks these rules.

If you see something on Hearth that breaks these rules, email hello@hearth.rsvp with a link and a short description. Hosts can also remove individual guests and their content from their own events.

Depending on what happened, we may remove content, warn you, remove your access to an event, or suspend or permanently close your account. Serious or illegal violations may be reported to the appropriate authorities. We try to be fair and proportionate, but keeping people safe comes first.
